Starting in July of 2011, I began creating a black-and-white drawing within a circle (or mandala) with pen-and-ink every day as a calming, meditative process. I begin most of these mandalas with a scribble and search for an image within the scribble that I develop into a completed drawing (the scribble usually remains in the background of the finished mandala). Many of these images are influenced by my love of illustrated children’s literature and often work in combination to form dreamlike, narrative sequences. I never know what will appear when I sit down to draw and that’s what brings me back to my pens and paper every day.

I enjoy your hustle and ambition. Continue doing your thing. I have begun a new collection simply because of your work. Looking forward to more cool pieces.

**Not jacking your idea, merely incorporating circles into creatures and insects. it was like motivation, not plagiarism.
